Hollywood...here I come! Loving this spread for Elle Russia. So beautiful. I want it all.

Denimology

Loving the denim shirt thrown over this preppy dress. Such high impact! The shirt looks vintage and yet it's so polished! Very nice alternative to a blazer. Something to keep in mind!

Emerson Made

There are so many talented people in this world, it really gets overwhelming. Thank you Joanna Goddard, for making me discover Emerson Made. I am enamored with this brand that features handmade clean cut pieces, with a vintage feel. If only I have money, I would jump on these jeans, this shirt and this clutch (alas it is sold out!). And those pumpkin shoes? Wicked. Gimme.

Paris vs. New York

My favorite!

Loving these series by graphic designer Vahram Muratyan. So awesome! Follow his blog as the competition heats up. Wouldn't it be awesome to have a Montreal vs Toronto series? YES!

Thursday night's shenanigans

Last Thursday's shenanigans: eating with my friends Kim and MJ at my new favorite spot Tuck Shop. Gossiping the night away. Talking about everything from work, to sex, to disappointments, to future projects. Had such a good time!

Happy Saturday! Have a wonderful week-end lovely people! xo

Backless Beauties

Love the impact a backless dress has. To me, it's probably even more effective than a low cleavage. Perhaps because I don't have much to show cleavage-wise, but also because most women I know love their backs. A woman's back is sexy and delicate and deserves to be shown! As a matter of fact, one of my favorite Oscar dress is the navy Guy Laroche number that Hillary Swank rocked some years back. Though a lot of people hated it, I thought it was original and very daring, and it's one of the few outfits I remember. So let's take a cue from Lily Aldridge and Anja Rubik and Hillary. Ladies, let's show some sexy back!

The Dog's Breakfast

Lemon Risotto and Shrimp

Roasted and chilled corn soup topped with sour cream, cilantro and bacon.
Salted Butter Tart

Chocolate shortbread with ganache and raspberry-rose ice cream
Smoked salmon with mango-jalapeno cream on cornmeal blinis
Chocolate cupcake with pepermint cream cheese icing

Discovered The Dog's Breakfast this morning, and gosh am I ever salivating! This Montreal-based duo's blog is full of insightful tips and amazing recipes. I can't even boil water but if I had the time, the talent and more importantly the desire to cook, this is where I would go for inspiration and quirkiness. Everything looks so delicious! Some of my favorites! Miam!

Waking up in Vegas

My friend MJ and I on Vegas Blvd

Sharing an intimate moment with SpongeBob Squarepants
MJ and Justin, burning it up @ Mirage

Before I went to Vegas, I hated it. To me, it encompassed all of the stereotypes which I despised. A bunch of rich youths getting trashed at some club, swapping spit, doing coke of each others asses, throwing up; old fifty something Elvis wannabees, with gold hardware as jewelery and Hawaiian printed shirts, singing Blue Hawaii whilst playing Russian Roulette at 4:00am; hookers luring you into the Hooters motel; Chippendale at every corner; posters of Celine everywhere. But honestly, since I've had the privilege of going this year during Trade Show period, I've been dreaming about it. I loved it! I didn't even drink there but yet I had such a good time. It was amazing to walk down Las Vegas Boulevard at 2:00am. Eat a crepe at Paris. See the light show to the tunes of Sinatra outside of the Bellagio. Go eat at Japonique inside The Mirage (best duck ever!). Wake up and eat breakfast in the shade of the Sphinx statue at the Luxor. Drive towards the desert and eat at In-N-Out burgers. Vegas is creepy and awesome. Next time I go, I absolutely want to drive in the desert and up to the Grand Cayon and then to California. And maybe, get married at the Little White Chapel. Why not?

Free People

All images via Studded Hearts

Free people always have the most gorgeous lookbooks, often taken in the wild. Loving the boho-hippie vibe. Particularly obsessed with the last picture. I have always adored Native American inspiration in clothing. Probably stemming from my watching of Pocahontas and The Last of the Mohicans (hello Daniel Day-Lewis). I want those fishtails!! Amazing!

Holy Hillary!

Hillary Duff has been impressing me a lot lately. I don't know if it's married life, but she just seems so happy and accomplished. We are far, it seems, from the waif-like days. Loving her hair. As this is really close to my own hair texture, will try to emulate the look. And the sheer top. Sexy!

My Own Private Idaho

Top 4 pictures via Studded Hearts

Loving the spread for Vogue UK with Dree Hemingway (yes great-granddaughter of Ernest Hemingway). In fact, love Dree Hemingway's style altogether.
