Off the grid

Photography by Eric Valli

I first saw these pictures (part of a series called Off the Grid, for a book named Rencontres hors du temps) by French photographer Eric Valli on one of my favorite blog Romance & Revolution. And i immediately wanted to learn more. What a foreign concept. Living on the verge of society. Leaving everything behind and live like in the Paleolithic age. The subject of this particular series is Lynx Vilden, who 22 years ago, abandoned her rock'n'roll and drugs lifestyle and migrated to the mountains where she decided to live without a trace. Now, Lynx offers "hands-on wilderness seminars". People actually join her and live in clothes made from furs and skin cut with Lynx's silex. Live like in the Stone Age. So unbelievable and fascinating. An upcoming documentary is slated to hit the air sometimes soon. Watch it.
