Pioneer Woman
I love to eat -big surprise there - but i'm generally very lazy when it comes to cooking my own food. This may change once i get a family or someone special to cook for but at this point, I find it a little discouraging to cook a feast only for one. Plus, i don't have a passion for cooking. But my love for food really trumps all and if you give me time and easy recipes, then i can make something quite decent. Which is why i LOVE The Pioneer Woman. Ree is so funny, self-depreciating and she draws you in. Her recipe are more for everyday life which is quite perfect if you ask me: unpretentious and packed with flavors. Confession: sometimes i go on there just to salivate. Just for fun, like that. I have done some of her recipes so far (all successes) but i can't wait to see what's in store, especially for Fall when the air gets crisp and cooking somehow seems more appealing. xox
Some of The Pioneer Woman recipes:
Cauliflower Soup (so so so so good. Yum! I actually made one by replacing the cauliflower with chicken and it was just as scrumptious)
Creamy Lemon Basil Salad. This recipe calls for potatoes but i didn't have any so i used couscous. It was divine. The perfect summer meal.
Chicken with mustard cream sauce. All i have to say is that i made a version of this recipe (served with guacamole) on a trip to France and the people ARE STILL TALKING ABOUT THIS MEAL to this day.
Apple, pecan and blue cheese salad. So yummy.

Pardon me, but I think you probably should take a look at The Pioneer Woman Sux, Pie Near Woman and my blog, The Marlboro Woman before you fall for this manufactured Internet persona hook, line and sinker. Ree Drummond and her highly compensated media team want you to buy into this "little ol' ranch wife" hoax and line their pockets with millions.
ReplyDeleteThe recipes you refer to were lifted from church and community cookbooks in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Oftentimes Drummond simply tweaks an ingredient here, a measurement there and publishes it as her own. That is so lame in fact, it smacks of plagiarism.
Buyer beware. Before you blindly follow someone on the Internet, take a look at both sides of the equation. Not everything is what it seems, especially when it comes to Ree Drummond's fraud.
Hi! First of, I would like to thank you for taking the time to read and comment on my little blog! I truly admire the passion with which you speaks. Although, I won't get involved in analyzing the authenticity of the recipes shared on The Pioneer Woman, I will say that I do enjoy the tone of the website and the self-derision used by Mrs. Drummond. Being a would-be cook, myself, I love someone who can laugh at themselves and thus this is what drew me to the site. Once again thank you for your comment!
