The Royal Tenenbaums

I have a problem with "in" movies. As in, movies that are the talk of the town, that you absolutely have to see because "like, it's so good". In fact, i've waited almost a year before watching Drive (i loved it). I just wanted the hype to die down so that I could make up my own mind about it. And so, i am 10 years late in seeing The Royal Tenenbaums. But man, was it worth it. It was so awkward and good. The actors are all excellent. The story is so absurd and yet treated with such realism that you can't help but being sucked in. I highly recommend it if you haven't seen it. And I want to dress like Gwyneth Paltrow's Margot Tenenbaum for Halloween. So neurotic and strange. Proof that Miss Paltrow can really play anything. xox
