Fantasy

I'm not sure if I ever discussed that in here but I am somewhat in love with Daniel Day-Lewis in The Last of the Mohicans. And for many years, when I was younger, he was my ideal man. Tall, dark, with bright eyes, athletic shape...oh and courageous, chivalrous and sexual. I mean, c'mon! But infatuation aside, I have always been deeply fascinated by my culture (after all, Quebec is but a product of the fight between French, British and Native) and have an unshakable respect for Native American traditions and history. The point of this (and I think there is a point) is that when I stumbled upon these pictures on Etsy, I had a flashback of that movie, of my yearning to run across edged cliffs with DDL and to be Cora Munroe. I always thought that beach weddings were what I aspired to (in the odd chance that I would ever get married) but seeing this breathtaking vista and the whole soul of this charming Colorado wedding, I have changed my mind. This is my fantasy come to life. Who cares if the guests had to climb for 45 minutes to get atop the mountain (I sure hope not)? It's simple, it's wild, it's foreign, it's an experience. My bff Dom and I often discuss what a wedding should be. And to me, I think it should be just that. No more, no less. Nothing fancy, no wedding registery, no 100000 bills to cover at the end. Just love, a place that means a lot to the both of us, people who you care for. It's that simple. It's that perfect. xox
