By now, most of you may be aware of my undying love for anything Austen and Joe Wright. The reason why I love Wright so much as a director is his attention to details. The way his cameras linger on a neck, a strand of hair or a hand. Like in this shot, where Darcy and Elizabeth have just touched for the first time. And if you're fast enough to catch it, you see Darcy stretch his palms. It's a brief moment, as those usually are. But those who have felt electricity pass between two people know, that's it's all it takes. A moment. xox
